This is our home. A home opened to all visitors and especially to any Badolato in any part of the world, regardless of the family branch he/she may come from.

Our family is originally from Calabria which belongs to Italy since l860, but used to be part of the Kingdom of Sicily for several centuries, which in turn had ties with the Crown of Aragón and therefore, with Spain.

Thus, it is not surprising that in the year of 1708 a Don Antonio Badolato, who had been Governor of Monteleone (Calabria), decided to establish himself in Madrid (Spain) with his wife and one of his sons, Don Domingo. It was by them that the Badolato lineage was introduced in Spain (see "Origins").

In the XIX century one of the Badolatos from Madrid travelled to the Philippine Islands, a Spanish colony at the time. He settled there and had numerous descendants.

Later, other offspring also went abroad and today we find Badolatos of Spanish origin in Europe, Asia and America (see "Distribution").

We know that there are Badolatos of other family branches in several countries, especially in Italy and North America, and we are eager to get in touch with them.
